Who operates SayCopy

SayCopy is provided by Altitude Information Systems LLC. Questions about this policy can be sent through the SayCopy contact form.

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally on your device:

• Your OpenRouter API key in the platform's secure device storage.
• Your app preferences and selected models.
• Your transcription and translation history in the app's local database.

SayCopy does not operate an account system or sync this information to a SayCopy server. SayCopy disables Android app-data backup in its application configuration. Removing the app normally removes its local database; backup, restore, and secure-storage behavior can vary by operating system and device, and Apple Keychain entries may persist after an iOS reinstall.

Audio and text processing

When you ask SayCopy to transcribe or translate, the app sends the recorded audio and/or text, the model selection, and your API key to OpenRouter. OpenRouter routes the request to the model provider needed to complete it. The response is returned to your device.

SayCopy requests zero-data-retention routing from OpenRouter. Availability depends on the selected model and eligible provider. OpenRouter and model providers are independent services, and their handling of requests is governed by their own policies and your OpenRouter account settings.

OpenRouter may associate operational request metadata, such as the selected model, token counts, latency, and cost, with your OpenRouter account for usage reporting and billing. This metadata does not include the content of your audio, prompts, or responses under zero-data-retention processing. If you enable input or output logging in your OpenRouter account, OpenRouter may retain that content under its account settings and policies.

Temporary recording files are deleted after processing on a best-effort basis. The resulting text remains in local history until you delete it or remove the app.

Microphone permission

SayCopy requests microphone access only so you can record audio for transcription or translation. You can change this permission at any time in your device Settings.

Tracking, advertising, and analytics

The app does not include advertising, cross-app tracking, or a third-party analytics SDK. We do not sell personal information.

The SayCopy website

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Its hosting provider, Vercel, may process standard technical request information such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site.

If you use the contact form, we process the name, reply address, topic, message, and standard technical request information you submit. We use this information only to respond, protect the form from abuse, and maintain support records. Resend delivers the message on our behalf.

Your choices

• Delete individual history items within the app or remove the app and its local database.
• Clear your OpenRouter key from SayCopy Settings.
• Revoke a key or manage usage limits in your OpenRouter account.
• Disable microphone access in your device Settings.

Children's privacy

SayCopy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a SayCopy account or backend service.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when an update is published.
